Peace & War is the initial exhibit installed in the History & Culture Gallery, located in the newly renovated (2018) Heritage Hall Special Collections Galleries, Ina Dillard Russell Library, Georgia College. Serving as my first experience in curating an in-depth comprehensive exhibit with loaned artifacts, oral histories, and video content from concept to installation, the process was a crash course in museum methodology. Peace & War examines the Georgia College student experience of the Vietnam War through the lens of the student-run newspaper, The Colonnade, demonstrating the parallels found between campus opinion and the national experience during this tumultuous time. Additionally, local veterans provided oral histories to present the juxtaposition of experiences found between citizen and solider.
